WELCOME TO THE

SAN ANDREAS MEDICAL SERVICES

About EMS Bureau

In the year 1978, the San Andreas Emergency Medical Services was officially contracted by the state to provide emergency medical services to the State. The very first ambulance serving in the state of San Andreas was provided by the McGrath Emergency Transport Company, paving the way during the pioneer era of pre-hospital care. In December 1981, after a series of strikes, the McGrath Company was absorbed by SAEMS and since then has been officially serving under the Emergency Medical Services Division. With medicine advancing with every decade, in 2025, the SAEMS has made great efforts to offer the highest quality of medical care in the pre-hospital setting - rebranding the EMS Division to the EMS Bureau, serving with modern medical care up to this day.

As of today, the SAEMS Bureau employs single-function Emergency Medical Technicians, and Paramedics. On a supervisory level, the SAEMS Bureau employs EMS Captains, EMS Lieutentants, and an EMS Chief responsible for EMS operations as well as countless Rescue Ambulances serving the State of San Andreas.

Given the high dynamic range of situations responded to, the SAEMS Bureau serves as an umbrella for several specialized operations groups;

  • Tactical Emergency Medical Support Unit (TEMS)

  • Bicycle Paramedic Unit (BPU)

  • Advanced Provider Response Unit (APRU)

  • Paramedic Training Unit (PTU)

Additionally, single-function members of the SAEMS Bureau serve in other divisions;

  • Air Operations Section (Flight Paramedics, Rescue Technicians, and pilots)
